The TAK Product Center has released CivTAK/ ATAK-CIV (Android Team Awareness Kit – Civil Use) on the Google Play Store on the 1st of September, 2020 as a free download. This comes with the ATAK-CIV 4.1.1 as the TAK Product Center’s first publicly released version on the Google Play Store.

ATAK-CIV is the least restricted version of TAK and is made available to support virtually any individual or organization with a requirement to display Position Location Information (PLI). ATAK-CIV is subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), which advises this item is classified as EAR99 (CJ0001904 & CJ0002108-CJ0002135). ATAK-CIV is not authorized for release to an embargoed or sanctioned country, to a party of concern, or in support of a prohibited end use.

You may access the repository at https://oc.civtak.org – the password is listed on the splash page. The TAK Product Center at TAKMaps. com is only accessible to U.S. IP addresses only. The CivTAK Community Website (CivTAK.org) has no control over the website and their geographical access control policy. Downloading the ATAK-CIV binary does not require a login. However – login to the TAK Product Center portal for access to other TAK resources such as plugins, requires a valid login limited to U.S. .GOV or .MIL email address or authorized contractors and agencies.
